Enjoy perfect pool & spa temperatures, 365 days a year

Heat your pool efficiently with low operating costs, no matter the weather.

Heat pumps are dependable, energy-efficient, and cost-effective to operate, as they draw heat from the surrounding air and convert it into warm water for your pool.

Rheem commercial heat pumps have led the Australian market for over twenty years and are designed for maximum heat transfer and efficiency. Manufactured in Australia and favourites of the industry, these units are installed in major aquatic centres and specified where the highest quality of component, design and control is essential.

The Rheem Accent Commercial Heat Pump provides the advantages of solar heating without the need for direct solar gain to a collector. While the rate of transfer is highest on warm days, heat gain is even made in sub-zero temperatures or overnight, providing the potential for year-round heating.

Designed with the commercial user in mind and with a nominal heating capacity extending from 35kW to 354kW, a Rheem Accent Commercial Heat Pump can meet your every need.

Boambee Bay Resort

Boambee Bay Resort was looking for a reliable solar heating system to replace their current underperforming heaters. The resort was having issues with warranties, parts and backup service for their current system

We solved their problems with a guaranteed warranty and back-up service if required. They chose NCS Pool Heating partly because of our expertise and experience installing Australian made Rhino panels and the fact that we’ve been established for thirty years in the region.

We designed a system using 200 square meters of Rhino polypropylene panels across eight roofs, configured to run in conjunction with a gas heating system which allowed the resort to quickly heat or cool the pool if needed due to seasonal weather fluctuations.

Ryde Hospital

Ryde Hospital wanted to be able to use their outdoor pool for 12 months of the year for patient hydrotherapy. They already had a solar heating system in place but required a system that they could keep their pool at a consistent temperature of 28 degrees celsius the whole year round.

We installed two IPH70 Inverter heat pumps in conjunction with a thermal blanket and roller. Because of the inverter technology used with the heat pump units, the hospital was able to drop down the output and therefore the power usage in the warmer months which helped achieve great savings in operating cost.

Tea Garden Grange Retirement Village

The client was unhappy with the current design and reliability of their pool heating system and wanted a complete upgrade. They were getting frustrated with the downtime during which the pool couldn’t be used. This was often caused by a product fault.

NCS Pool Heating was able to set them up with a comprehensive redesign and installation of a new system using better quality, more reliable parts. The underperforming solar panels were replaced with Australian made modular Rhino panels to better utilise the roof space available and we were able to offer them a guaranteed backup service in the unlikely event that it was required.

BIG4 Holiday Park

The caravan park was looking for the most efficient way to heat their pool from the peak periods around the September school holidays through to the cooler period at the end of April. Thanks to NCS Pool Heating, both the adult and kids pool are now sitting at 28 degrees for 8 months of the year.

NCS Pool Heating Installed an IPH 100 Inverter heat pump for the main pool and an IPH 55 heat pump for the kid’s pool. Being Inverter units the system is able to run at reduced power in the summer months and then increase its output only during the colder months for optimum comfort and a great cost saving in the electricity bill.

Diamond Head Caravan Park

The client had a strip matting solar heating system in place that had constant problems due to the high winds in the area and damage caused by cockatoos biting holes in the collector, this had, in turn, damaged the Colourbond roofing.

NCS was employed to remove the old system and install a new panel system that maximised the available roof space and also handled the high winds that impacted the beachfront resort.

FAQs

Each type of commercial pool heating system offers unique benefits, making it easy to find the perfect solution for your business.

Inverter pool heat pumps are incredibly energy-efficient, harnessing heat from the air to provide reliable and cost-effective warmth, particularly in cooler climates. These commercial pool heaters offer consistent performance and lower long-term operating costs.

Commercial gas pool heaters, on the other hand, are ideal for quick heating, giving you the ability to raise the water temperature rapidly. This makes them perfect for pools that need warming up on short notice or in colder weather.

Solar pool heating systems stand out as the most eco-friendly and cost-efficient option. By utilising the sun’s energy, they can significantly reduce energy bills and carbon footprints. While they depend on sunlight, they’re a great option for eco-conscious customers in sunnier climates.

Choosing the right pool heating system comes down to a few key factors: pool size, frequency of use, local climate, energy expenses, and environmental goals.
For large or year-round operations, commercial swimming pool heat pumps and hybrid systems offer a great balance of efficiency and reliability. If sustainability is a top priority and you’re in a sun-soaked location, solar heating might be the perfect fit.

It’s also worth thinking about the bigger picture—initial installation costs, long-term maintenance, and any rebates or incentives that could make the investment even more appealing.

Yes. Businesses in New South Wales can take advantage of government rebates when installing energy-efficient pool heating systems, such as high-capacity heat pumps.

These incentives are part of initiatives aimed at lowering carbon emissions and encouraging greener energy solutions. It’s a win-win for both your wallet and the environment!

Rebate amounts and eligibility can vary, so it’s a good idea to check with local programs or speak to suppliers who can offer the latest details on what’s available.

For a greener approach to pool heating, consider installing solar heating systems that harness renewable energy or opt for high-efficiency heat pumps that use less power.

You can take it a step further by adding a solar pool cover to lock in heat, reducing the need for additional energy.

If you’re using an older system, upgrading to the latest energy-efficient technology can dramatically cut down both your energy usage and your carbon footprint. It’s a simple way to keep your pool warm while staying kind to the planet!

Energy-efficient solutions like high-COP heat pumps and solar systems offer impressive savings on day-to-day pool heating expenses.

Take heat pumps, for example—they can slash energy bills by as much as 75% when compared to traditional gas or electric heaters.

While solar systems may come with a higher initial price tag, they more than make up for it over time by tapping into free, renewable solar energy.

Plus, by using a pool cover, you can lock in even more savings by retaining heat and reducing the demand on your heating system.

Definitely! Solar heating can seamlessly work alongside your current system—whether it’s a gas heater or heat pump—to create a powerful hybrid solution.

By tapping into solar energy on sunny days, you can significantly cut down on energy use and save on costs, while still having your primary system to fall back on when the sun isn’t shining.

This hybrid approach gives you the best of both worlds—sustainable savings and reliable heating, no matter the weather.

Keeping your pool heating system well-maintained is key to ensuring it runs smoothly and lasts for years to come.

Schedule annual check-ups with a qualified technician to catch any wear and tear early, clean filters, check water flow, and make sure everything is calibrated for maximum efficiency.

If you’re using solar panels, keeping them clean and unobstructed is a must for optimal performance. For heat pumps, regular checks on refrigerant levels and compressor health are essential.

Remember that a little TLC goes a long way, helping your system run efficiently and cutting down on energy costs in the long run.

A pool cover boosts the efficiency of your heating system by minimising heat loss, primarily caused by evaporation.

By retaining the water’s warmth, a cover can reduce heating costs by as much as 50%, lowering the energy needed to keep your pool at the desired temperature. It also helps keep debris out, cutting down on cleaning and maintenance expenses.

Definitely! Commercial pool heating systems can be fully customised to match the specific demands of your business and its guests.

Whether it’s choosing between solar, heat pumps, or gas heating, sizing the system correctly, or integrating with existing equipment, every detail can be fine-tuned. Factors like how often the pool is used, the climate, and your energy-saving goals all play a role in creating the ideal setup.

By partnering with our expert team, you can install and maintain a system that’s tailored for peak performance and cost savings.

The cost of a commercial pool heater can vary widely depending on the type of system you choose, the size and capacity required, and installation expenses.

Installation and additional customisation, such as integrating with existing systems, can also influence the final price.

It’s always a good idea to consult with a professional to get an accurate estimate based on your pool’s specific needs. To get started, call NCS today for a free quote.
